Clinical Pharmacy Support

Job Summary

This position supports a transition from a transactional environment to a patient-focused setting. As part of Walgreens’ pharmacy team, the role offers hands-on training through a nationally recognized apprenticeship program, preparing individuals for PTCB certification. Whether you're starting out or have experience, you'll receive the support and tools needed to grow in the pharmacy field.

Responsibilities

• Help thiss maintain compliance with federal and state regulations in the delivery of pharmacy services.
• Provide assistance to customers and patients by resolving inquiries and offering support for products and services to enhance their experience.
• Handle pharmacy systems to process prescriptions and effectively manage patient and medication information.
• Assist with inventory management tasks such as receiving, verifying, and storing pharmaceutical shipments securely.
• Engage in clerical tasks such as managing phone calls, processing claims, and assisting in scheduling appointments.
• Sustain the cleanliness and order of the pharmacy section.
• Aid in coordinating pharmacy clinical services and expanding outreach endeavors to reach more patients.
• Comply with Walgreens' policies, which include following the principles of Good Faith Dispensing and upholding the standards outlined in the Code of Conduct.

Qualifications and Experience

• Well-versed in English reading, writing, and oral communication skills, apart from Puerto Rico.
• Being open to working at different times, including weekends and evenings.
• Retail familiarity gained over a period of six months.
• Previous familiarity with Walgreens through work.
• Proficient in both mathematics and computer operations is preferred.
• Preferred: Acquaintance with inventory manipulation and possession of PTCB certification.
