Job Description:

Showcases and administers a distinct and pleasant customer interaction. Records transactions on designated cash register, dispenses customers with courteous, fair, friendly, and efficient checkout assistance.

Roles and Duties:

• Provides a welcoming atmosphere for customers and patients, offering assistance and guidance on available products and services to address any issues or queries effectively.
• Sets a standard by exemplifying and promoting exceptional customer service strategies among staff members to ensure a unique and enjoyable customer journey, incorporating interpersonal skills like welcoming customers, engaging eye contact, demonstrating politeness, and adhering to Walgreens service values such as being proactive in offering assistance and addressing customer needs.
• - Provides clients with service that is courteous, pleasant, prompt, and effective.
• Assisting clients in selecting items for sale and proposing trade-in or companion merchandise.
• Accurately registers customer purchases on the designated cash register, manages cash transactions, and issues change as required. Handles voids, returns, rain checks, refunds, and exchanges when necessary.
• Keeps counters and shelves clean and attractively displayed, manages inventory, and maintains accurate records. Processes merchandise by checking in and pricing items as directed by the store manager or communicated by the shift leader.
• Implements measures to reduce profit loss by following asset protection procedures.
• Ensures that all guidelines regarding controlled commodities such as alcohol and tobacco at the state and local levels are met.
• Undertakes the assembly and maintenance of displays, encompassing promotional materials, seasonal setups, large structures, and items for sale. Executes resets and changes as instructed.
• Supports with rotating stock and following the first in, first out principle for perishable goods to maintain freshness, as well as replenishing depleted items.
• Exhibits competence with store systems and equipment.
• Helps customers with their photo requirements, which include digital passport picture services, poster printing utilizing a creative machine, and promoting special photo products.
• Assumes responsibility for overseeing online pickups, monitoring orders within Picture Care Plus, filling orders by selecting items, and distributing orders to customers when they come to the store.
• Contributes to the store's clean and orderly appearance through assistance with exterior and interior maintenance efforts.
• Adheres to organizational procedures and policies; promotes a culture of respect and collaboration among coworkers.
• Executes specialized assignments and any other tasks as necessary.

Training:

• Engages in training opportunities and finishes mandatory PPLs as required by the Manager or assigned by corporate guidelines.

Qualifications:

• Adequate skills in English reading, writing, and spoken language are expected
• Being open to working flexible hours, including weekends and evenings, is a requirement for the role
• Seeking candidates with at least half a year of retail background.
• Previous job involvement at Walgreens is a plus for prospective employees.
• Strive to achieve fluency in English reading, writing, and speaking, apart from Puerto Rico
• Flexibility in scheduling, particularly being available for evening and weekend shifts, is a key requirement.
