Pharmacy Technician

Job Summary

This position supports a transition from a transactional environment to a patient-focused setting. As part of Walgreens’ pharmacy team, the role offers hands-on training through a nationally recognized apprenticeship program, preparing individuals for PTCB certification. Whether you're starting out or have experience, you'll receive the support and tools needed to grow in the pharmacy field.

Responsibilities

• Assist thiss in the delivery of pharmacy services in compliance with federal and state regulations.
• Engage with customers and patients by providing product and service support and resolving inquiries.
• Operate pharmacy systems for processing prescriptions and managing patient and drug information.
• Support inventory management, including receiving, checking, and storing pharmaceutical shipments.
• Perform clerical duties such as handling calls, submitting claims, and assisting with scheduling.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pharmacy area.
• Support pharmacy in clinical service coordination and patient outreach efforts.
• Comply with Walgreens' policies, including Good Faith Dispensing and Code of Conduct.

Qualifications and Experience

• Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico).
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
• Preferred: Six months of retail experience.
• Preferred: Prior work experience with Walgreens.
• Preferred: Strong math and computer skills.
• Preferred: Knowledge of inventory control and possession of PTCB certification.
